Dear colleagues,
Yesterday a new article by Grant Singleton, Herwig Leirs and myself
was published on the website of Pest Management Science: "The Year of
the Rat ends: Time to fight hunger!".
The article handles about the amount of food that is consumed by
rodents worldwide. We have estimated that this amount would be
sufficient to feed almost 280 million undernourished people. The main
conclusion is that more attention should be paid to prevention of pre-
and postharvest losses in order to feed the world's growing
population.
