Subject: H4 Build Manual Wanted
Does anyone know where I can get hold of a copy of the H4 build
manual? The H4i that I just bought didn't come with one and there are
a few things i want to check out.

Cheers,
Dave

Have you tried QSC as they should still have them.

If anyone has one (and it's not copyright), I have a high speed double sided
automatic feed scanner - panasonic of course!

I'd be more than happy to scan the whole lot to PDF.

I've sent a message to John and Rosemary to see if they will give permission
to upload electronics copies.. If so I'll upload whatever we are allowed to
scan.

Since they don't actually own the H4 project and the company in Iran that did has disappeared then i can't see a problem.
I have one somewhere.

Jim,
QSC still have the worldwide rights to the H4, it was only the middle
eastern rights and moulds that were sold.  QSC still have the plugs.

When I asked a few years back if the club could host any of the build
manuals on the website I was told that only the Saloon build manual could
be shared, although this may have changed now.

Regards,
Steve

So is the H4 build manual just unavailable then? It's getting to be a
pain guessing how things are put together without it. Less than a week
of ownership and already I'm starting to wish I hadn't bothered.

Can i politely suggest that maybe you haven't the patience for kit cars ?
This sort of thing is normal with them, especially if you didn't build
them in the first place, the quality of the construction can vary
enormously.
I have a copy of the build manual which if i could have found i either
would have scanned myself or posted to Matthew to scan, even if it was
just for a copy for you.
If you ask here about the bits you aren't sure about i'm sure somebody
can help.

Subject: Re: [Quantum Owners] Re: H4 Build Manual Wanted
I can understand Daves frustration. I was lucky enough to buy my 2+2
from the original builder and got the manual with it. It does help a
great deal although I would add that it only helps if your car is built
to the letter of the manual but its is a very good starting point and
at least you know how it was meant to be. That's why this group is so
important. Most builders have strayed from the norm somewhere along the
line, bigger wheels being a good example.

Going back to the H4 manual, surely someone on the group has access to
one that Dave could borrow for a day. What he does with it on that day
is not the responsibility of the lender. Copyright is all very well but
lets keep it in perspective, we have a past and present Quantum owner
asking for help. If he can't get it from either the manufacturer or the
owners club, then who can he turn to.

Bob Craig (Q2-267)

to get into any trouble.
