Subject: Auth with apache for public area
Imagine I've a pylons app, with the static content served by apache.
I want that some public content can only be viewed if the user is
authorized by it's profile in the pylons app.
What's the best way to accomplish this?

in python you can create/manage the valid cookie for access
in apache you just check to see if its there.
