Subject: Reconnecting issue

Hello,

I'm running TSE 6.0 on a single server. I'm having the following issue:

When the network connection goes down for few seconds the client doesn't
reconnect.

The first screenshot shows when the connection is down. The second shows
when the connection comes back. And the third shows when it times out
trying to reconnect. I'm working with Propalms tech support for over 2
weeks with no luck. Is there somebody who faced this issue and have any
idea what could be the solution?

Thanks,

Ivo

Ivailo,
In my personal opinion, i would ensure that you do not have any
network connection drops within your environment. That can cause
problems everywhere and not just with propalms. It kind of seems like
the role might actually be going down. Which means your web server is
losing connectivity to your database. Unless, of course, it is on the
same server. Then it is purely client to Propalms connectivity. One
thing i would try and do is turn on keep-alive settings for the TS
server. If you open the local computer policy and navigate to Comp
config > Admin temp > Win Comp > Terminal Services, you will see the
keep-alive connections. i would enable this with a interval of '1'.
This may help those connections still stay connected even in network
drops. Does the session drop on the server? There is a possibility
that there is no session for the client to even reconnect to. So there
may be more to the network drops, that just a reconnect issue. Try the
keep-alives and let me know how that goes. After that, i will see what
i can come up with. I just looked at your email and it looked
familiar, and i was right. You are currently working with us to try
and solve this problem. We are awaiting word from Propalms engineers
to get you an answer. Since you have worked with my co-workers, i
would assume they have already done this keep-alive setting. I am
going to check with propalms again today for you and see where they
stand.  I apologize for any delay.

Thanks!
