Monday last week (July 20th) as people were trying to log on to our
app via Propalms they were getting the following screen: “an error
occurred while launching the application. The Propalms TSE System is
not up and running as yet. Please try again later.”
I rebooted the 2003 (32 bit) servers and everything worked fine,
except the apps on the “test” 2008 (64 bit) servers will not load. On
the console page it shows the servers as offline and so the load
balancer and application server role are “red” and not working. I was
on vacation the week before the TSE went down on our main app. so I do
not know when the “test” 2008 servers went off line. Because I waited
until this week to look at the issue, the logs are not much good; they
go from days to 2 weeks then to months. And with 80 users, those files
get really big.
I have tried disabling and enabling the servers (which I did last time
and it looked like it worked), but this time it is not doing anything.
Kris - Sorry it toook me so long to reply. Was on vacation for a week.
I assume you tried rebooting the x64 server. I would probably just try
and remove the LB role off the 2008 server. Keep it on your main
server and let that handle that role for your test server. Usually
this error is directly related to problems with the LB role. So
hopefully, you can remove that role and it will start working. You
might have to reboot the server after removing that role. Also, ensure
that the 2008 server is not the LB server when looking at the Monitor
| LB page.
Thanks!

Thanks Brandon. I hope it was a good vacation! We ended breaking down and
buying support. They have most of the issues resolved, but it took them 20
hours! There is just one little issue left with TSE licenses and I think I
will be able to leave Propalms land for a while.
That is the thing about it, once it is up and running, there are next to no
problems. Well that is what I am hoping.

Kris - Hey no problem. Yeah, it was fantastic to get away for awhile.
Are you in the US? If so, you should be going through us (Tridex) for
support. If not, hopefully propalms is doing a good job for you guys.
They are very good over there and i dont suspect them not being able
to help you out. Yeah, it seems that there are some quirks in propalms
that need to be setup for the particular environment. Then once it is
setup, there are definitely very few problems. Hope it works out for
you!
Thanks!
