Terry,

New info. If I open the .ps file with the default application on the
Mac, Preview, it will not only render correctly but will also let me
save as a pdf, which Photoshop will open with no problem. It renders
with som unwanted anti-aliasing in Preview, but I can disable that
when I open the resulting PDF in Photoshop.
