Hi Nick,
I've purposefully not made it trivial for others to replicate the
online generator functionality since its high popularity provides a
(small) source of funding for the BWIPP project.
I will however provide the source to individuals who want to use it
for "internal-only" use. Let me know if this is the case.

Hi,
A non-zero number system is indeed undefined for UPC-E.
From a technical standpoint I think that your solution is fine,
however I have found in the past that designing the input in just such
a way results in confusion for the (non-technical) users of the
project.
I will however add a defensive check to ensure that the encoder fails

Hi,
I've recently changed the packaging format for the PostScript named
resource delivery method [1] for BWIPP so that the resource files are
now ASCII85 encoded. This makes them a lot more suitable for copying
and pasting into PS documents.
They now look something like this:

Hi Terry,

While using the "code93 ENCODER" to dump the full 128 character ASCII,
I found there are some "typos" in this page...

1. In the "Overview" section, code 93 is a continuous symbology, since
each symbol begins with a bar and ends
with a space
(in contrast to code 39)

Hi Francesc,
If you take a look at the EPS output from the web-based generator for
different values of "rotate", "translate" and "scale" then it should
give you the idea.
Something like:
gsave
50 50 translate
2 2 scale
90 rotate
0 0 moveto (12345) () code2of5
grestore

so only one question, do you know who rotate 90º a bardcode
for example pdf417 or 39 to portrait to Landscape ?
