"No"; your moderators have no control over the captions that are utilized for each and every message or thread.  These are decided by each individual who posts a message to the group,  just as your message was captioned, "Discussion Descriptions" by you, and you alone. 
 
For the most part, the group, PoliticalForum has relatively little moderation.  There are three moderators here at PoliticalForum who insure that nothing illicit is posted to the group, as well as prohibiting members from being inundated with "spam" messages. 
 
Your moderators also will delete messages that are vile, personal attacks on another member, or messages that are obviously and clearly in poor taste.  (Yes, I realize that is a subjective call, but recently we have had a string of messages that we deemed offensive, and they are not going to remain on the board for long when members start slinging "colorful metaphors" at one another!!)

You will also find that our group consists of individuals from all walks of life, and located all over the world.  We are an eclectic bunch, but in general, all of the members are friendly, and we seem to get along well with one another!

You will see a tab captioned, "Edit My Membership".    You have several options, from receiving "No E-Mail",  or you can opt to receive either, "Abridged E-Mail" or "Digest E-Mail", as well as receiving all of the e-mails that are posted to the group.  
 
Unlike Yahoo Groups,  Google Groups still allow for our media attachments to be posted on our group Discussion Board, so you can always see what was posted on any given day, as well as all the submitted media and messages that are archived since our group's inception.
