Don't take Wikipedia as fact. Anyone can post anything there!
Any economy can appear good with outside finance. How good it is/was will be apparent when it disappears. Greece is not a bit like Turkey. (To say it is would be fighting talk in Greece!) It doesn't have the stultifying hand of the Muslim culture for a start. Polish plumbers = useless plumbers. A surplus of anything will force prices down.
