We have now added Google FriendConnect to the site. So, if you would
like the chance to interact with each other and recommend pages from
the site, then visit the site and sign up using the "Social bar" at
the top of any of the site's pages.

It looks as though there is some slightly strange behaviour of these
FriendConnect gadgets if you are not a member or not signed in. For
example, the social bar claims  bot hthat there is one comment, and
that there are no comments yet. Similarly, the  list of recommended
pages is currently empty if you are not a member or not signed in (we
have, in fact, recommended our home page already!)
