Bunsen leaves SAK under a cloud

Professor Bunsen resigned his research post at the School of Applied Knowledge this week and promptly announced the launch of a commercial biotech startup. The company is to be capitalised at a modest 100 mil isk and it is hard to see how any substantial progress could be made in todays markets on such a budget. We asked Bunsen for comment but with characteristic abrasiveness he would simply say "If you've got isk for me transfer it, if not your part of the problem so piss off".

Little is known about Bunsen prior to his emergence from the School of Applied Knowledge. He appears to have graduated considerably ahead of the rest of his class but there are rumours of a degree of friction between him and the academic staff at the Todaki station. Winner of the Zainou Biotech - Best Newcomer award last year Bunsen clearly has potential, however opportunities outside of established corporation sponsorship are scarce, perhaps doubly so for a non team-player.

One source who preferred not to be named commented "Bunsen had decided by his second year that he had already learnt all he could from his tutors. He rarely attended lectures and there were problems with the safety of other residents with so much flammable material in his rooms. His thesis (on neurobiologic syndesmoid modelling) was hugely controversial and so when he said he was leaving I think we all breathed a sigh of relief."
