Unicode UTF-8 workarounds
  This is a contribution to a discussion that has come and gone a few times in this group – Unicode support. I have been working with Unicode UTF-8, and found some things that might be useful for those who want to use it. This applies to Windows, which is probably the most difficult environment, but the one that I am currently forced to work with.... more »

@SELECTED Compatability
  Hi Martin, @SELECTED returns the number of records returned from the last EXECUTE (D) 'SELECT' or 'SSELECT' performed. However, "QSELECT' does not. Universe ( also using @SELECTED ) does return the count from all three operations as does D3 and Unidata ( when using SYSTEM(11) ). Thanks, Gary... more »

Gregory Michael Amov, programmer & musician, 1959-2009, RIP.
  Good morning, it is with regret, but also relief, that I pass on that Systems Theory band-member, long-time Multi-Value/dbms programmer and computer teacher Greg Amov died last night after a hard few months battling cancer for the second time. Some of you may recall that he had esophageal cancer three years ago. Eventually it came back,... more »

Web Services
  Since postings seem to be a bit slow lately, I thought that I would bring up the subject of Web Services. What are Web Services and how would we do them using QM? Thanks Eugene

Server load
  Hello, On a server, with less than 10 users, my server load stays at 1.00 all the time. It seems that the qmlnxd is very heavy on the cpu. How can I optimize that and avoid this server load ? There is a AMD Athlon dual core 1900, with 1Go. top - 15:24:29 up 109 days, 5 min, 8 users, load average: 1.00,... more »

CORRELATIVE.REUSE
  Martin, Could you explain this new command a bit more? I want to make sure that if I were to put that in that it would not cause the dictionary items that I have now to stop working properly. Thanks
