Transfer current application from 2000 server to 2008 server

I have two application that needs to be moved to a client's new 2008
server.

I searched the archives/etc and did not find any information related
to the recommened method of transfer.

My 1st confusion is where to install qmsys since the 2008 server will
have multiple virtual servers defined

@SELECTED returns the number of records returned from the last EXECUTE
(D) 'SELECT' or 'SSELECT' performed. However, "QSELECT' does not.
Universe ( also using @SELECTED ) does return the count from all three
operations as does D3 and Unidata ( when using SYSTEM(11) ).

Server load

On a server, with less than 10 users, my server load stays at 1.00 all
the time. It seems that the qmlnxd is very heavy on the cpu. How can I
optimize that and avoid this server load ?

There is a AMD Athlon dual core 1900, with 1Go.

I work with D3 VME on a daily basis and I have started experimenting
with the open source version of OpenQM.

On D3 I can run the following command from TCL:
COPY DOS:C: /transfer/somefile.txt

to copy a file from the Windows 'C' drive.

Problems with installation

SORTMEM and SORTMRG

I have SORTMEM set to 32768 and SORTMRG to 4 on our production box as
well as the development box.

The production box has 8 gigs of ram and 160 gigs of ssd for disk. It
is quite fast.

The dev box is considerably slower and uses disk drives. I am not
quite sure of the exact specs on the dev box.

QM on OSX: Error 1 deleting shared memory

Configure.file changes create.index option

I changed the case sensitivity using CONFIGURE.FILE NO.CASE on a file
with indexes. When doing this, I think that it rebuild indexes.

But my indexes were using the NO.CASE option and after the configure
it switched back to CASE. So I think that there is a bug with
Configure.file, loosing all indexes configuration.
