Subject: Turning off Keep Alive in Soap4R??

Apparently a remote M$ server we send stuff to is choking and the solution
offered by our partner is to not send keep alive in the request.

I was sent some VB code that set up a proxy with this header set to false.

Ruby doco has been driving me completely barking for half a day - I think I
can tell the soap4r to use an HTTP proxy object, but can't work out how to
set up that object. In addition, all the examples pass the header into the
post as part of the request, which is of course a million layers deep and
protected inside the SOAP::RPC::Driver object..

All ideas gratefully received. I will even cough up on send a friend a

Did you end up finding a solution to this?

Hi Tekin,

Yes and no, I read the error message more carefully and realised that the
problem was actually between two of our client's back-end servers, all MS.
Pointed this out to them and they did some changes their end. I did write
some code that made up to 4 attempts (waiting for a few seconds between
them) before giving up, which gave me a 99% success rate anyway.
