  Yeah, this is why your images don&#39;t get served from rails, your web server &lt;br&gt; will serve static content before it passes the request to rails.

  Ah, so if I had a controller called Static::ThingsController that *didn&#39;t* &lt;br&gt; have an action named &amp;quot;send&amp;quot;, then I could have the other actions of the &lt;br&gt; controller work as normal, but have the static file &lt;br&gt; &amp;quot;/public/static/things/send.js on&amp;quot; sent statically? &lt;br&gt; Cool, then I could just fill in the real, dynamic action when I was ready

  Thats not a static file tho, if you had a file called index.json, you could &lt;br&gt; put it in /public/static/things/ and it will be served up like that, without &lt;br&gt; hitting the rails stack, from &lt;a target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=nofollow href=&quot;http://yourapp.com/static/things/index.json&quot;&gt;[link]&lt;/a&gt; &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;if you need a controller (for authentication for example), you can do it

  I have some static JSON files that I want to get served up in a hurry. &lt;br&gt; Eventually, I&#39;ll have them be generated &amp;amp; cache them once a day, but I need &lt;br&gt; to get the service up there in a hurry, so am going to just create the files &lt;br&gt; &amp;amp; have them served up. &lt;br&gt; Should I call something like: &lt;br&gt; render( :file =&amp;gt; &amp;quot;/path/to/file.json&amp;quot;, :layout =&amp;gt; false, :status =&amp;gt; :ok )

  You do not need to uncomment the gateway_mode. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Also you just need to find that gateways &#39;sandbox mode&#39;, I have used sage pay in the past (protxi s now sage pay), and im preety sure you can just enable sandbox from sage pay itself, or have a seperate account for testing?

I&#39;ve actually decided not to &lt;br&gt; implement what I wanted using the linkparser and just left it as a probable &lt;br&gt; upgrade idea for later. Hope when I get back to it I&#39;ll have more luck &lt;br&gt; getting it up and going.

Would the FTC venue be suitable for a day/afternoon-long Coding Kwoon? Needs a projector and a load of chairs.
