meeting on Thursday to discuss setting up a regional meeting of/for NCIA.
If we can find a convenient date, can you and/or Andy join us ? Perhaps you
could give me some dates in November (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays only)

I think all politicians are in essence self serving self loving egotists.

That does not mean however, that we cannot work with them but there needs to be 'meat' on the bones of any discussions with them about the future of the sector.

At the moment all I see from central government is more and more being downloaded to local Government with no real pledge to the so called third sector(the demise of the learning and skills council being a case in point).

In an obvious bid as a Topsy-Turvyist to protect the integrity of
Topsy-Turvyism, which aspires to turn the world upside down, I don't reckon
Cameron and the Tories are in any sense topsy-turvy.
The dilemma for us and for them is that all the parties accept the
