welcome alan - a civil servant knows about us? does this mean we're
completely coopted or that we have an ally in the civil service? and
as you say.....where's the dosh. advice is cheap (at least from the
voluntary sector). and where are the mammouth bail outs, available to
their chums but not to communities bearing the brunt of the collapse

Wright MP ( I would rather have had the money).

I am responsible to an organisation called ViRSA ( check out their web
site) for assisting communities to set up and run their own shop, but
only in villages. There is an equal need in town and citiy communities

meeting on Thursday to discuss setting up a regional meeting of/for NCIA.
If we can find a convenient date, can you and/or Andy join us ? Perhaps you
could give me some dates in November (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays only)

I think all politicians are in essence self serving self loving egotists.

That does not mean however, that we cannot work with them but there needs to be 'meat' on the bones of any discussions with them about the future of the sector.

At the moment all I see from central government is more and more being downloaded to local Government with no real pledge to the so called third sector(the demise of the learning and skills council being a case in point).

In an obvious bid as a Topsy-Turvyist to protect the integrity of
