XP Pro Photo Printing Wizard - strange annoying behavior
Hi. Have XP Pro SP3, AMD 3200 proc, large disk, 1 gig RAM. Plenty of horsepower. The Windows Photo Printing Wizard is exhibiting some very strange behavior. I'm looking for a reg tweak perhaps. Let's say I pull up some pictures in Windows Explorer. I double click on one, and the Windows Office Picture Manager launches. At the top there's a... more »

Default Printer Font
For years, I used Windows 2000 to print to my old reliable HP LaserJet 5. A report I print is sent from Notepad as a text document, so there are no printer properties or commands sent with the document to the printer. The font used on the printer when I print from that computer is Courier (sarif).... more »

Problem uninstalling printers
I have a couple of defunct printers on my XP system. When I try to delete them, Windows refuses. Says it is 'deleting - off-line" but nothing further happens. I tried refreshing the Printer spooler but that didn't help. The current printer is correctly installed and working.

Some of my end users are creating a shortcut of the network printer on their desktop, so they can just drag and drop files on to the printer. A few days ago that suddenly stopped working, for some of the users, not all of them. Nothing happens not even an error message. I am desperatly trying to figure... more »

Old printer conflicts with new.
We have WinXP SP3 We have just installed a new Samsung printer/fax/scanner unit CLX6210FX on the computer via a network cable. Our other printer is a SharpAR5316 copier/printer connected via a USB cable. new printer can only be used by power users
I have winXP pro with simple file sharing disabled. There are power users as well as normal users. A parallel port printer that was installed a long time ago can be used by all. A freshly installed local printer (attached to the network) can only be used by the power users. A normal user sees its job in... more »
