  The new laptop is probably configured for it&#39;s SATA controller to work &lt;br&gt; in a operating mode called AHCI. Windows XP doesn&#39;t natively support &lt;br&gt; this operating mode. To install XP you&#39;ll have to check the BIOS setup &lt;br&gt; and see if the SATA controller can be switched to &amp;quot;Legacy&amp;quot; mode which &lt;br&gt; XP installation can access and mount the drive(s).

  <title type="text">Keeping My Documents clean</title>

  I&#39;m not a big fan of the MS&#39;s &#39;My Documents&#39; folder and its daft location at &lt;br&gt; the end of a tortuously long path under C:\, but it does have its uses. &lt;br&gt; Since loads of common dialogs open it by default and it&#39;s always available &lt;br&gt; with one or two clicks, I use it for shortcuts to my most used locations.

  Hello, &lt;br&gt; I have brand new Asus laptop which came with Windows 7 Home &lt;br&gt; Premium installed. &lt;br&gt; I am trying to install Windows XP on it. &lt;br&gt; The setup starts normally. The installation copy the files etc and when &lt;br&gt; comes the moment to start Windows there is a blue screen of death. &lt;br&gt; I have tried several times, using different Windows XP installation disks

  VLC Media player is able to convert it to something else... &lt;br&gt; So far it seems only video... but maybe audio too later... &lt;br&gt; I tried mpeg default profile/settings... changed to max 8192 bits/sec for &lt;br&gt; video and 512 bits/sec for audio... &lt;br&gt; 1286 x 1000 or something can&#39;t remember... &lt;br&gt; Butter smooth so far. &lt;br&gt; It also proves that all video is inside the m2ts file... so any playback
