Help me!

I (foolishly) updated CA Internet Security Suite 2007. The subscription
(license) had expired but I was goning to renew it after the FREE update (my
bad!). I then rebooted as requested. Afterwards, I cannot run any programs
except for Internet Explorer, Outlook (email-but no News), Security, Explorer
and, curiously, Websters Dictionary! I have network connectivity. These
appear to be intrinsic OS programs. I can run Adobe Reader from inside
Explorer but not outside.

I don't know quit how to frame a question to Microsoft support.

I suppose there is a corrupt DLL or C library file. Suggestions??

My estimations of CA is going dim. Such grief! Their waton begging for
renewal and interference in the fuctionality of certain programs  after
expiration was terrible. Now this. Yikes!!

Use System Restore to return your PC to a point before the
trouble started.
