Antivirus program is Webroot and only scans email attachments. I di manage
to get one and only one email to get sent after adjusting outgoing server

The information you're speaking of is specific to your email provider. What
is the part of your address after the "@" symbol? (Some email providers and
ISP's have that info on their website's "help" pages too.)

Perhaps if you provide your email provider and error message someone can

You will have to take that up with your email provider - they usually have a
"help" on the main email screen (web version). Windows mail is just a
"handler" not the provider. This forum is Windows Mail - not your actual
provider . . . . . .

How do I set up Windows Mail from my home computer. I'm not able to go any
further as I'm not sure where to find the POP # or whatever the code I need
is.
Am I even eligable to have a microsoft account?

Ladysavana - to uninstall people pc you need to go to Start - Control
Panel - and, depending on your version of Windows, "Add / Remove Programs"
or "Programs and Features" - there you will highlight or check a box and
uninstall (again, dependent on your version of Windows).

Would you consider trying an account email address that does not contain a
special character such as your "_" symbol? Some email programs don't allow
them at all, and it seems to me I saw that somewhere about Live IDs but I
can't find anything supporting that now. Perhaps you could sign up as
"tojoie" or "joieto" and see if you still experience issues. Just a thought

Another LOVELY Windows Mail Problem.
I have gone through most of the other sent in problems and have found nothing.
When opening windows mail on my vista computer it says"

Follow-up: I've been checking into this some more, and there are
widespread reports of the AT&T/Yahoo mail server malfunctioning.
It is not affecting all AT&T customers. One workaround is to change
the incoming server port from 995 to 110. That should also uncheck
the SSL option.

and some of the posts say that the mail servers are not working.
I'm an AT&T-Yahoo mail customer myself, and my mail is
working fine, so it may be a regional thing.

Gary, there is something going on with the pop.att.yahoo.com server as
there are reports in several different forums and ngs about issues with
receiving mail. I can tell you that although the error messages differ
for windows mail vs. thunderbird, the end result is the same for each.
One cannot fetch mail in either on client unless the formerly required
