  You will have to take that up with your email provider - they usually have a &lt;br&gt; &amp;quot;help&amp;quot; on the main email screen (web version). Windows mail is just a &lt;br&gt; &amp;quot;handler&amp;quot; not the provider. This forum is Windows Mail - not your actual &lt;br&gt; provider . . . . . .

  Would you consider trying an account email address that does not contain a &lt;br&gt; special character such as your &amp;quot;_&amp;quot; symbol? Some email programs don&#39;t allow &lt;br&gt; them at all, and it seems to me I saw that somewhere about Live IDs but I &lt;br&gt; can&#39;t find anything supporting that now. Perhaps you could sign up as &lt;br&gt; &amp;quot;tojoie&amp;quot; or &amp;quot;joieto&amp;quot; and see if you still experience issues. Just a thought

  Follow-up: I&#39;ve been checking into this some more, and there are &lt;br&gt; widespread reports of the AT&amp;amp;T/Yahoo mail server malfunctioning. &lt;br&gt; It is not affecting all AT&amp;amp;T customers. One workaround is to change &lt;br&gt; the incoming server port from 995 to 110. That should also uncheck &lt;br&gt; the SSL option.

  Gary, there is something going on with the pop.att.yahoo.com server as &lt;br&gt; there are reports in several different forums and ngs about issues with &lt;br&gt; receiving mail. I can tell you that although the error messages differ &lt;br&gt; for windows mail vs. thunderbird, the end result is the same for each. &lt;br&gt; One cannot fetch mail in either on client unless the formerly required
