Subject: Sending an email to multiple addresses

I wish to send an e-mail to all my clients - to "broadcast" a change in
service. How can I do this and not reveal the addresses to the recipients?

Open up 'Microsoft Outlook[image:

and develop the email in a general form without anything specific to one
person. This will be the mass email that you will send out to various
recipients.

Step 2
For a mass email, you would normally put all of your recipients email
addresses in the “To” section. Or if you want some to be
just copied, you would put their addresses in the “Cc”
section. All of the email addresses that are put in these two sections
will be visible to everyone who receives the email. But to hide an
address from the recipients, place the email address in the
“Bcc” section. Anyone listed in this section will receive
the email but their addresses will not be visible to anyone.

Step 3
Then press the “Send” button and that’s all there is
to it.

Step 4
When you see the copy of the email in your “Sent Items”
folder, you alone will still be able to view everyone’s email
addresses

Use the BCC addressing feature.
If you don't see the BCC address line in your message compose window,
click View, Show all headers.
