  Hello Guys, &lt;br&gt; I have SBS2003 set up for PPTP VPN via wizard. I have PPTP port 1723 &lt;br&gt; and GRE protocol 47 opened thru firewall and directed to SBS address. I &lt;br&gt; can VPN from outside thru my vista PC and I can ping inside machines. &lt;br&gt; However after 40 to 50 seconds, the connection disconnects. This happens &lt;br&gt; every time.

  I believe your problem is not so much DHCP, as DNS. &lt;br&gt; That said, I can&#39;t tell you exactly what setting to change, but I&#39;d look at &lt;br&gt; the DNS settings and look for terms like dynamic update. &lt;br&gt; You may want to clear out the out of date entries manually.

  Yes, I agree with Merv. &lt;br&gt; I would consider keeping visitors off the internet connection entirely. &lt;br&gt; If one of them carries in a rouge SMTP server and blasts out 500 emails in &lt;br&gt; a few minutes your ISP will shut down your connection, and that is the good &lt;br&gt; news. You can remedy that by calling the ISP and sending that lappy home.
