Subject: cookies disabled NOT

I am using XP and IE8 with no problems for months. Now suddenly when I try
to log on Google.groups I get the following message.

(your browser's cookie functionality is turned off.) They then suggest
clearing cookies.

I rechecked my cookie settings which are still set to accept first party,
prompt for third party, always allow session cookies. cleared and reset.

I have deleted the browser history - temporary internet files - cookies
and then verified via temp and history settings - view files - that there
were no Google text files  as suggested on a MS site for similar problem.

Strangely I do receive prompts to accept cookies from sites other than
Google groups.

Help;; I am at a loss.

SG

I HAVE FIXED IT   thank you for my bother.
It was something not suggested   Somehow it was marked as do not accept in
the cookies file, no idea of how that got changed.
Thanks
