Windows 2000 dynamic drive corrupted after being installed as secondary in XP

A dynamic bootable drive was taken out of a working Windows 2000 computer and put as a secondary in an XP system where it was originally seen as Foreign media. I have several users that recently started losing NTFS permissions to directories. As a solution, if I go to the Parent directory and give the full control permissons, apply, then remove them, their read permissions and other permissions to child directories are restored back to normal.
