Hello, After installing WSUS 3.0 I cannot scan computers with MBSA 2.1. Only the computers that have not been configured to use the WSUS server are scannable. There are not any firewalls on the clients. What are some things I can check or try? I have searched everyehere. Thanks in advance, Jeremy... more »

I have the 2.1 version of MBSA. It has been a a few months since I ran this - and it was time to check on my servers. I tried running it on a server that I knew would get the new wsusscn2.cab file for checking windows updates. But it failed. I am getting the above error message when scanning another 2003 Server on the same domain. Scanning fromWindows Server 2003 SE SP2 with MBSA 2.1.2104.0 and target server is Windows Server 2003 R2 SE SP2. I have disabled the antivirus (Trend Micro office scan client). When attempting to do a local scan of a Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 using MBSA 2.1 x64, MBSA reports "This is not a Windows NT/2000/2003 Server or Workstation." Is there is differnet MBSA for Windows Server 2008 R2 x64?

I'm running MBSA 2.1 on a fully patched SQL Server 2005 and getting these two results, which I don't understand: SSIS Roles -- No permissions to access database.
