  I have installed Excel 2007 and some files are showing issues every time I &lt;br&gt; try to open them. The error message is: &lt;br&gt; One or more invalid names were detected in this workbook. Those invalid &lt;br&gt; names has been changed to #REF!. &lt;br&gt; How can avoid this annoying message?

  If you want a formula solution for this, you can put this in G1: &lt;br&gt; =--LEFT(F1,SEARCH(&amp;quot;-&amp;quot;,F1)-1) &lt;br&gt; and this in H1: &lt;br&gt; =--RIGHT(F1,LEN(F1)-SEARCH(&amp;quot;-&amp;quot; ,F1)) &lt;br&gt; and then copy these down as far as required. The -- converts the text &lt;br&gt; values from LEFT and RIGHT into numeric values, but if text values are &lt;br&gt; okay for you then just leave the -- out.

Pete, &lt;br&gt; You have just jogged my memory, a few days back I was following instructions &lt;br&gt; to stop a pop-up window from an anti virus (free) programme and I had to do &lt;br&gt; this through the safe mode/administrator and show all extensions to get &lt;br&gt; access to the file I needed to make some changes, thats where it has
