Hi,

I got an i-Mate JasJar at the Microsoft PDC this week ;). When I try to
deploy the .NET CF 2.0 to it the installation fails with an error message
that says "Tech Support Code: 4" at the end (in Spanish). Any ideas would be
appreciated.

I don't have the answer to this, but if you manage to get it working I would
be very interested to hear how well it performs with the managed DirectX
examples.

Hector,

I had no problem putting .NET CF 2.0 on my JASJAR via VS 2005 ßeta.
Although, that was an earlier (JASJAR) ROM build than your dealing
with dating back to May. I may give it another try with the current
ROM build.

Outside that, how do you like it so far? I've noticed it's quite a bit
slower in connecting/detecting WiFi's than earlier i-mate PPC devices.
Also, backgammon is a bit buggy w/ its screen orientations. I'd like
to see a better digicam (the main one) and more memory :)

Ok,

Solved my own problem. It seems that the culprit lies in one of these:

1) Changing regional settings to Spanish (Mexico) or....
2) Conflict with
    a) Skype or Backgammmon or CA Antivirus

How do I know? Did a hard reset, configured my device in the standard way,
then tried again. It failed again.

Did a hard reset again, removed these programs (they auto install after a
hard reset) from the add/remove cpl applet and did not change my regional
settings. Now it works.
