Howdy
This is not really a Biztalk question I guess but we are a big user of
Biztalk in my group and think this newsgroup has some really good
ideas!
So in my company we over the years since using Biztalk have been
really good at dealing with the CUD in CRUD, all (or most)
transactions going thru Biztalk.

I have saved each response message to a file. Every response is
exactly what I expect, regardless of the size of the response.
I then setup a messaging only scenario...I have a receive location,
and a send port that apply's the map. I then ran each saved file
through,
and ALL transformations work as expected. So the map MUST be correct.

BizTalk Cannot do that. With the out-of-the-box solution you could
propose to the client to have a dedicated folder where BizTalk could
delete the files, or create a folder let's say "Processed" to save
your files once the files have been processed.

your problem exactly?
Can you save the message received from your WebService locally? and
check that it's content is exactly what you expected wether it is a
100 or a 1000 records?

In FTP Transport properties:
Specify 'After Get' command as: QUIT
and give the 'Temporary Folder' location.
It wouldn't be possible to stop FTP adapter to issue DELE command to remove file from FTP server. However, specifying the temp folder will ensure the file retrieved from RETR command is available and QUIT command will ensure the DELE command is not executed.

I agree with Dan,
As BizTalk ask a mind change of IT department, it is important you can
understand both sites: Developping and Administration.
Mind changein the fact that many programmers still have a lot of
control on the code. With BizTalk everything gets less direct. Ex.
I create a send port, but I don't know if it will be FTP or File....

You an trythe following:
Try to create a Receive Pipeline and convert to EDI to XML their.
You add also the map in the receivport
Then you create your to Send Ports A & B, add a filter
BTS.ReceivePortName = [name of the reciev port]

I deployed an EDI biztalk Application, and I tried to add the Biztalk EDI Application reference. However, after I pressed the Add Button in the reference window, the system hanged until I pressed the ESC button. I even let it hanged for 3 days, and It still didn?t have the add Applictation Reference window pop up. Can anyone help? Is this right issue?
