Subject: Messages Hang in Active,Consumed service instance status
Hello,
I have application which uses FTA ports to process flat files. It works good
for files as big as 3000Kbs but at times the process gets hanged in ACTIVE
status for small files [say 700-2500Kb].
When looking at the details of messages in this process, all of them show
status as CONSUMED but the process still remains in ACTIVE status for long
long time and no o\p file is created.
Has this to do something with machine configuration or virtual memory or
server?
We use BizTalk 2006R2 with SQL installed on different server & R2 in BizTalk
Group [2 servers]. My local machine has Biztalk 2006 and SQL server on same
machine and no BizTalk group. Files work good on my local machine.

Any suggestions or light in this regard would be appreciated.
TIA

Roshni

I'm having the same problem with my adapter.  The messaging instance is
getting stuck at either Active or Dehydrated state, and never moves on to
Suspended.

You did bring up a good point though.  I noticed this only happens in a
clustered BizTalk environment.  On my local dev machine/server, the status
changes after the RetryCount has been exhausted.  Works just fine.

Please let me know what you find regarding this matter.

Thank you.
