Subject: LIGHTNING WARE software?
I have an HP Media  Center XP computer with:
               X86 PC
               Linksys Media Center Extender #WMCE54AG

I have movies in the MY VIDEOS section of Windows Media Center
which I wish to watch on a tv set 40 ft. distance from the computer.

I see that LIGHTNING WARE in the United Kingdom has many different
programs that persons say can enable me to do this.

However, which of the many LIGHTNING WARE programs should I download
to
do this?.  I want the program for only one function, and that is to
watch movies remotely.  I do not desire to use the many other features
that some LIGHTNING WARE programs offer.

Also, is it necessary to use other programs, such as MY MOVIES, to
perform
the desired task.

Sincerely,  Aaron

Hi,

VME is the application you should be using. MCE Video encoder was an old
encoder program that was only compatiable with Windows Media Center 2005.
The VME application is a lot easier to use and is compatiable with Vista.
You simply install VME on your Media Center machine and then control it form
your media center extender.

Kind regards,

Gary
