Hi all,
I'm creating a flash thingy and I have a criteria that I haven't been
able to find an answer to after much googling -
Imagine that I want an object (probably an image) on my flash thingy
to remain the same size, regardless of how big the embedded flash
object is set to. How can I do this?

The best solution I have found so far is using [link]
I haven't gotten to try it yet but one of the selling points is full
transparency support. The company makes a virtual file wrapper that I
love using called BoxedApp so I assume this works great as well.

Yes.. a mask would do the same thing as using the alpha channel. Seems
there is always more than one way to get to where we need to be. :)

There's probably more than one way to solve the problem, but what I might
try if it were me is I would set the alpha to 0% when the symbol is supposed
to be offstage and in the keyframe that it is supposed to show up on stage I
would set the alpha either to 100% or possibly less and add a few keyframes

I am building a Flash movie with a size of 1600x1200 px which is
embedded into the web page through SWFObject, with a width and a height
both equal to 100% so that it can resize according to the screen resolution.
The problem is that when a symbol gets off the stage in the Flash
animation (e.g. so that it disappears), it is shown in the page instead

It is not possible to encrypt your swf, since the player has to be
able to decode it. If the player can - other programs can do this as
well and decompile your code.
I have tried a lot of bogus applications that should obfuscate/encrypt
swf's and either they mess up your program - or they don't obfuscate

Hello,
how can I disable just the sound of the flashplayer?
Escpecially in IE(8). Only the sound, not the whole plugin.
I'm using some sites wich are don't work if the plugin is
disabled, but if I move over some flash adverts on that sites
some sounds/songs will be played, but that is really annoying,
