Subject: Low Pro on GitHub?
Hello everyone,

we used to have lowprojs.com and lowpro.stikipad.com...they're both
down since months.

Don't you think we should have Low Pro source and docs (wiki) up on
GitHub?

The best would be if you Dan could do that...to make it more
"official" you know...

Ideally on:
http://github.com/danwrong/low-pro

(it would totally make sense, since you already have:
http://github.com/danwrong/low-pro-for-jquery up and running)

Let me know what u think!

Zeno

Great!

Now, is there anyone out there who was smart enough to keep a copy of
Low Pro documentation wiki that was available at http://lowpro.stikipad.com/
? There was some great content there...and it'd be great to have that
up on the new GitHub wiki...

Btw, it'd be also great if you could redirect http://lowprojs.com to
http://wiki.github.com/danwrong/low-pro , wouldn't it?

I'll get on pointing lowprojs.com at the wiki but no, I don't think
anyone has the content from stikipad.  It just drop out of the sky one
day without much warning.  Either that or I wasn't paying attention.
It would be great to build up some info on the github wiki though.

Thanks for shoving me into action Zeno!

Anyone, otherwise they'd have a hard time justifying the name wiki.

My articles are released under a CC license so feel free to copy them
to the wiki. I can do it myself as well, but we'll be on the road in
New Zealand for a while so it won't probably happen before late March.

For now I've just added links to them (and your peepcode PDF).  All
very good reads :)

Holy crap, you're right:
http://mentalized.net/journal/2008/05/27/stikipad_when_software_in_th...

...I can't believe they could brutally shut down the whole thing like
that.

So, apparently here is the only thing that we've got left from Low
Pro's stikipad wiki (not very useful...)

Hey Dan,

Since you have put lowpro on github, consider reviewing the changes
that I have on my lowpro fork on github before this version was
released. It includes several enhancements that were floating around
that never made it into the official source.

Thanks,

- Nathan

I have created a fork, and have updated Low Pro to give no warnings
when run through JSLint.

I did this to allow me to automatically minifiy JavaScripts during
build process using Juicer (http://github.com/cjohansen/juicer/).
I have added the minified version to the repository.

The fork is available at: http://github.com/mroderick/lowpro/tree/master.

I have also issued a pull request to Nathan Esquenazi, who I forked my
version from, hoping that eventually, our changes will be
everywhere :-)

into the official version as well so everyone can take advantage.

I've added a couple more pull requests, as I discovered some minor
issues due to over-zealous use of closures.
JsLint has one gripe with regards to creating functions inside loops,
but it's only a warning and doesn't affect the minified version, so I
am current forcing the minification until I can resolve the warning.
