HI Folks, <br> <p>We had a lot of overnight rain in the Borders and it was obvious this morning with any air that was going up condensing into cloud at about 1800 ft. Tommy, Joe , Ross, Sean, Dave and I walked up Broughton with the sky brightening, but it was almost calm. When the breeze above finally did get down enough to make it soarable we had patches of orographic cloud.

The winter league is intended for flights that are not undertaken in thermic conditions but utilise ridge lift or similar instead. It has become clear in recent years that the XC season is starting earlier and many flights are being undertaken in March in thermic conditions, and therefore do not really form part of the winter league.
