Does anyone know of a way to help browsers with their form autocomplete
when you've got an asp.net form with long client ids.
Basically a way of mapping "p_ctl06_ProfileAddress2TextBo x" to "address"

Our meetings start again in January, the idea was that we'd take a
hiatus to grow this list and line up some good speakers.

Hi Guys,
Is there anyway to programattically determine the datetime format of a SQL
server box. I ask because I am not using parameters to execute a data
reader but an already formed sql string which I inject my date string
criteria into and I need to ensure that my date is in the correct format.

text index, I want a weighted ranking for proximity along with keyword

Hi, I'm having some problems with our db server, it's SQL Express 2005.
We've got a couple of dozen databases running different apps and every
few days or so it just slows right down till its taking something like
20-30secs to render pages.
Restarting SQL sorts it out again, restarting the web app pools doesn't

I need to use port 80 on a second ip for something else, but iis is
hogging it. I can get IIS to stop binding to that ip using httpcfg but
the problem is i still need it to bind to port 443. There just doesnt
seem to be a way to do it.

anyone doing much with linq to sql? I'm trying to work out how to
overwrite an object with another one. I have my object with a bunch of
properties set, I want to save it in the db and replace one that's
already there (keeping primary key etc), I'm trying to avoid manually
copying across each property myself.

I'm catching requests on none .NET extensions by adding an isapi mapping
into the app config. I want to catch certain urls like something.html or
foobar.asp and return a client side redirect to another url (basically
mapping urls from an old site so inbound links dont break)
The problem is if the url isn't to be mapped i want to to fall back to
