  Sorry, you initially seemed to be talking about kernel messages and now &lt;br&gt; you&#39;re talking about udev and other user-land output. As Marco said, &lt;br&gt; there is currently no way a log daemon could capture this. &lt;br&gt; I&#39;ll leave this as a wishlist bug on the kernel for now, since it could &lt;br&gt; theoretically keep a copy of console output to be copied into a log
