Dear colleagues,
We have tried very hard all day to contact our hosting company to get
them to restore our database as quickly as possible, but their phone
line was engaged all day. I expect all their customers were in the
same situation and everyone was trying to contact them at the same
time.
Basically, what has happened is that someone managed to enter their
database and for security reasons, they have changed access details on
all their databases (ie. OUR passwords, not yours); therefore when our
website tried to communicate with our database, it fails (which is why
you cannot log in).
Anyway, they have informed us by e-mail that they were sending us our
new access details by post, so I'm afraid there is nothing I can do
until Monday morning now, when the post arrives. I will however try to
contact the hosting company by phone throughout the weekend.
