Dear colleagues,

LINGUASCOPE ON TWITTER:
For those who have never heard of it, Twitter is a social networking
and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read
other users' updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based
posts of up to 140 characters in length. Linguascope has just opened a
Twitter account and you can read live updates everytime we have
something new we want to share. To follow Linguascope, visit:
http://twitter.com/linguascope

FACE-BUILDING TOOL:
Linguascope has just launched a new tool (freely accessible) to allow
your students to build faces. Ideal for teaching descriptions. You can
for example give a written or oral description of a person and
students have to reproduce the face as described:

KEEP YOUR LOGIN DETAILS SAFE:
I'm sure you are aware that, while you are free to divulge your
Linguascope username and password to your students, your login details
should not be shared with anyone outside your institution. Our terms
and conditions (which we ask you to sign when you subscribe and renew
your subscription) clearly state that login details should not be
displayed publicly (e.g. on your school website or teacher blog), but
despite this we continue to find schools displaying their login
details online. We recently had to suspend about 20 accounts for this
reason, so I would urge everyone to be cautious and make sure our
terms and conditions are understood by all members of their
department. A copy of our T&C can be found at:

Best regards,

Mr Stephane Derone
