The forum is vital to the TDI community. Fortunately it is unlikely
that Google will drop it, so I hope that we can continue to use it
without the IBM server. The searchable discussion history is very
valuable and must not be lost.
If all else fails we can always use the TDI Users website to host a
forum: [link]

Looking at the code this morning, I see I could have had it all
in the After GetNext Hook. The typeof() check makes sure
that first if block is only executed once anyway, and the
Before Initialize is called every time the parameter is set...
So it would have looked like this:
---
if (typeof(cnt) == "undefined") {

Well, there is one creative technique, but it relies on the
directory supporting sorted returns: ie. sorted on an attribute of
your choosing. And you have to choose a unique one. In my
example here I will use "uid".
First you configure the LDAP Connector for sorting by setting
the Sort Attribute parameter to: uid

I'm able to send plaintext emails through TDI, but I have some data
that I want to format in a table, and I thought HTML would be the best
way to do that. I've marked the problem line with asterisks below.
I've tried many different iterations of that line of code, most of
them ending up with the error:

If at all possible you should fix this at source. The problem is that
you have bound to the directory server with an ID that does not have
permission to generate large search results. Most directory servers
protect themselves by limiting the number of results returned from a
search: the number is configurable, and the better servers allow you

 Hi
My basic question is what is the best way around the 'Administrative
Limit Exceeded' error when itterating an LDAP. I Basically have an
LDAP passing in entries on a Delta and another LDAP in the Flow
section, to keep attributes sync'd.
I am able to process about 300 records before I get 'LDAP: error code

 Hi Aaron,
You either have to set up a SearchCriteria object and then
call the LDAPConnector's findEntry() method, or you can
change the ldapSearchFilter parameter, terminate() and
initialize(null) the underlying Connector interface:
ldap = myLDAP.getConnector();
ldap.setParam("ldapSearchFilte r", "(&(cn=GRP-*...");

I need to leverage a passive LDAP connector to search for the groups a
user resides in. The search criteria will be (&(cn=GRP-*)(member=
$DN)). We want to find all groups, starting with the prefix "GRP-"
for the user DN in the work entry.
Can you point me to a single document that covers this TDI feature?

LDAP Changelog LDIF: strange behavior with "changetype" attribute

 Hi,
while my first implementation with LDAP ChangeLog connector (event
driven) works fine, my second approach does not: Here I did want to
use the LDIF file of a changelog for batch processing. Dependent on
the value of the attribute "changetype" (add, ...) an action should be
started. However, this attribute just does not appear in the connector

Using TDI to grab AppServer metrics for performance & trending analysis (for Cognos)

Here is a video done by Cognos product manager Scott Masson showing
how TDI can be used to grab metrics from the Cognos' dispatcher and
service beans, and then drive these to a data mart. From there, Cognos
BI tools are then used to provide a performance dashboard to the app
itself.
[link]

The IncovationTargetException referred to an UnsatisfiedLinkError:
nlsxbe (Not found in java.library.path), because I had forgotten to
include the Notes folder in the Path of the service. Thanks for
helping me solve this issue.
But of course, I still get the error "names.nsf has not been opened
yet" while using the connector (now even with TDI as service).

Yes, that is what I started to understand, and what I am trying to
have working now.
So far, the behaviour I have encountered is:
- From CE: if the Notes Client is not running, error "names.nsf not
opened yet" (connector initialization at startup is OK, but this
happens when using the connecotr). However on another environment I do

The LocalClient connection is not dependent on the Notes Client
running - but it is dependent on where the client was pointed the
last time it ran, since this updates the Notes.ini file which in turn
is used by our Connector.
However, if you are seeing instabilities here then I would ask
you to raise a PMR with the wizards of L2 support.

 Hello,
I am using TDI 7.0 with Domino (user creation, modification, etc.).
The DominoUsersConnector is used in Local Client mode. I usually need
to have the Notes client running to be able to get a Notes session in
TDI. I say "usually" because sometimes it works fine without this, but
most of the time TDI complains about "names.nsf not opened yet" if the
