The forum is vital to the TDI community. Fortunately it is unlikely
that Google will drop it, so I hope that we can continue to use it
without the IBM server. The searchable discussion history is very
valuable and must not be lost.

I absolutely agree. This is the single best and most responsive source
of information on TDI and there is no direct equivalent in IBM
developerworks forums. There is extensive information in the newsgroup
history which has value to new and seasoned TDIers alike and the
solutions posted on here by Eddie Hartman and other newsgroup

Looking at the code this morning, I see I could have had it all
in the After GetNext Hook. The typeof() check makes sure
that first if block is only executed once anyway, and the
Before Initialize is called every time the parameter is set...
So it would have looked like this:

Well, there is one creative technique, but it relies on the
directory supporting sorted returns: ie. sorted on an attribute of
your choosing. And you have to choose a unique one. In my
example here I will use "uid".
First you configure the LDAP Connector for sorting by setting
the Sort Attribute parameter to: uid

Ah - I don't think Message.RecipientType.TO is actually a variable.
Looks more like a method, so try something like this:

Web Service Timeout in TDI 6.0

Running a web service in TDI 6.0 and having problem with the size of
the incoming SOAP message. We need to keep it below 200 Kb to work. We
have got it to work up to 600 Kb sometimes but it is not stable
enough. Does anyone know if there are some tuning to be done on this

look as if you are trying to use the value of a recipient *type* as a
recipient *address*.
Surely the mail recipient address should be a fixed text string, or
come from a TDI variable (not from a javax.mail object)?

When I do this sort of thing I usually terminate the Connector
to make sure the file is released.
LDIFConn.getConnector().termin ate();
...then do the move, and then re-init the Connector again
LDIFConn.getConnector().initia lize(null);

the LDIF Parser does not return the "changetype" Attribute
like a Changelog Connector does. It just tags the Work Entry
so that you can use work.getOperation() as illustrated in my

That sounds very strange, Sonja. Can you see the changetype
att from an LDAP browser?
In the interim, you should be able to check the operation code tagged
on the work Entry to get your add, delete or modify changetypes
(modrdn will be if the there is a "newrdn" attribute present).

The IncovationTargetException referred to an UnsatisfiedLinkError:
nlsxbe (Not found in java.library.path), because I had forgotten to
include the Notes folder in the Path of the service. Thanks for
helping me solve this issue.

The LocalClient connection is not dependent on the Notes Client
running - but it is dependent on where the client was pointed the
last time it ran, since this updates the Notes.ini file which in turn
is used by our Connector.

The missing file was the default template mail file. I just had to
specify it in REG_MailTemplateFile (e.g. mail8.ntf).
