Subject: Two upcoming Military History Weekends
A second mailing this week, to bring you information about two
Military History Weekends coming up over the next few weeks.

In Britain there is to be a World War II themed weekend at Compton
Verney (Warwickshire) on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September,
featuring a singalong to wartime favourites, live music from the era
with wartime dancing, a spy trail for children and families, the
artist Steven Whitehead building a decoy Spitfire, Compton Verney's
resident historian collecting wartime memories, a display of wartime
photographs, a series of tanks, and on Sunday a flyby by the Hurricane
and Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. For more
information go to www.comptonverney.org.uk

On the other side of the Atlantic, at Williamsburg, VA, there will be
what is hoped to be the first annual Military History Weekend on 17-18
October. Guests will include World War II veterans, military antique
experts, reenactors and authors, including Eddie Shames, a Second
World War member of the 101st Airborne. Book dealers and publishers,
Toy soldier dealers and manufacturers, Military Miniature and wargame
vendors and Militaria dealers will all be present, while events for
children include learning to paint a miniature figure, wargames and a
American Revolution mini boot camp.

More information about the event and advance ticket purchases can be
obtained at (888) 771-5576 or usc...@wbritain.com. Or by visiting
