Well we were quite impressed. This is surprising I suppose given that
we were delayed both ways. We waited for over an hour at Manchester
for fuel and then a technical fault to be sorted out at Rhodes cost us
almost an hour on the way back. But neither of these issues were the
fault of the airline I think, just a bit of bad luck.
The check-in process was good on the way out (when a couple of family
members joined us). On the return journey it was just the two of us
with hand luggage only so we used the on-line check-in which was an
absolute joy. We just walked into the airport and went straight
upstairs to the departure gates - fab. When you think what it used to
be like before the new building opened.
We had pre-booked our seats which we also liked. Legroom was fine for
me, it's sometimes an issue given that I'm six-two.
The aircraft, a 757, wasn't new but was OK. There are no TV screens
which suits us - I hate those things. Cabin staff were excellent both
ways.
The only moan was on the return flight. So much stuff was sold out on
the outgoing flight that there was lots of things that were
unavailable from the food and drinks trolley before we even got on the
plane. Not on really.
But all-in all we liked Jet2. I just wish they flew from Birmingham
and that their timetable extended further into spring and autumn.
Bob.
