Hi folks. Just thought I'd mention the weather, it's about 88 degrees
on the beach. Brilliant stuff. Trade is very slow and they reckons
it's a disastrous start to the season. I know it's early days but
let's hope it picks up for 'em. Baz

Anyone know how the prices have faired this year against last - if the fewer people there have helped keep prices down for us poor Brits with this unfavourable exchange rate.

We came back from Haraki at the end of last week and found prices not much more than last year. Restaurant prices a little up but drink much the same. The bus into Rhodes is still €4. Taxi from the airport was €39 ( @ 1 in the morning).
We've not been in Haraki in May before so can't compare but it was definitely quiet!

Couple of interesting points. A Brit couple got married on the beach
today, quite a novel idea. The temperature recorded at the water's
edge today reached 114 degrees and it's gonna get hotter tomorrow and
I heard the north of England had a dusting of snow yesterday.. Can't
be bad

Barry where are you emailing from so that when we get over we can use the internet, after of course our beach fenzy during the day. Also what's it cost hourly? Getting packed ready to go, countdown started. Maria Oh just in case you don't know, its raining here for a change LOL.
I'm e-mailing from Jacks. You'll find these comp facilities at Jacks. Cocktails & Dreams and Style so you got plenty of choices. And it's getting bloody hotter. Well over 100 degrees on the beach today.
Fanstatic, tell him we're coming and to get the southern comfort in for Gary (seaman), only one ice cube though. Nice to hear its hot hot hot that is what we like. Also has he anymore tee shirts, the one I've got is getting old LOL. Maria
I dunno if it's my comp but the servers seem to have been down since
sunday. I've had to get in through a different route. Going back to
Haraki on 26th august. Got to spend me redundancy money somewhere and
Haraki's as good a bet as any.
I was talking to a mate who's just done 3 weeks in Pefkos. Before he
went I suggested he take a look at Haraki. He did. 8 times he visited
Haraki. Could'nt make up his mind which resaurant he liked best as he
says the food is wonderful in all of them so he did them all twice.
Now he's gonna book 2 weeks for september. Another convert.? Yes, I
think so
careful don't tell to many people coz there won,t be enough room for us regulars x

What a shame, we that go package may lose this lovely place. I've been looking for independant accommodation on Aristos website just to get roughly how much it would cost. Its not cheap with the Euro being so bad. The accommodation providers are basically trying to earn a living and I don't blame them but most go for 50 to 60 euro. So we are going to make the most of this year, and cross our fingers for next.
See you there on the 26th. I haven't been there since May last year. had a DVT but am recovering and 3 weeks in haraki will do the business!!!!! Jean

Hi Karen. That's Haraki Beach at the back charging from 150 euros per week. Only for the two upstairs apartments. The small studios downstairs (rabbit hutches) are 25 euros per week and the big apartment at the front (sleeps 4) she's trying to let out on a long term basis or 50 euros a week if she can't let it long term.
Its so annoying we could have gone independant, but when we were looking they were 50 euro/day, including Haraki Beach. Bit too noisy but nice rooms upstairs.
I meant to go round all the owners last week to find out what they were charging but with the situation with Jill it just was'nt possible. Although there are plenty of vacancies this year it seems we might have to barter or pay up.
Can't wait to see you Mrs Jones . Sooooooooo glad you are on the mend xxxxxxx
