I hope someone could help me too...
I installed the extension on three machines:
1 - windows XP with almost nothing in preferences and bookmarks... OK!
2- ubuntu linux with some preferences and a small set of bookmarks...
    sync works perfectly... OK!
3- my main one: debian linux with a large set of bookmarks...
The update process stops while in 'Updating server' with
'Error "400 Bad Request" occurred while syncing, please try again
later.'

I have exactly the same probelm...it takes an age saying "Preparing
Server Update" then I get this infamous Error 51. This has been
happenning for over 4 days now....makes the add-on totally useless. Can
anyone advise as to how to resolve this or should I just uninstall??

Regards

Hi
it comes from an encoding character error, one of the links you try to
synchronize contains characters which cause an encoding error from the
server. The problem is how to know which link is deficient !
try to clear your history and retry synchronize... if it doens't work
anymore, save your bookmarks (export them locally), and try to localize
the bad one by clearing them group by group, and one by one, and try to
resynchronize each time

hth
