Same problem on a Treo 700wx. I am basically a PalmOS Treo expert and
I have Google Maps for PalmOS on my Treo 700p. The Google Maps for
PalmOS doesn't support GPS at all, but I also have TeleNav, Mapopolis,
and EMTAC Navigator (commercial mapping programs with GPS
ability..) ..  on two different Treos and all three programs of them
see and work fine with two different Bluetooth GPS receivers I own

So being a Windoze Mobile moron, I installed the new Google Maps for
WM (Pocket PC) on my Treo 700wx It works fine by itself for pulling
down maps and finding locations and all its other functions but.. I
paired it with one of my Bluetooth GPS receivers, and that worked, but
when I try to use any GPS functions in Google Maps for Pocket PC it
grinds away for a minute and then says it can't find my GPS receiver
or that it's incorrectly configured or some such nonsense

I hate WM and don't have a clue what I'm doing wrong or what IT'S
doing wrong

Could someone post a step-by-step walkthrough to set up a Bluetooth
GPS receiver on a WM5 / Pocket PC device and get Google Maps to
actually see and USE it?  Do I have to dick around with COM port
settings? If so, what and which and how?

Again, these are  both current model SiRF Star II GPS receivers. Three
different PalmOS GPS programs pair with and use them just fine on my
Treo 650 and Treo 700p. But the 700wx (Pocket PC) sees the receiver,
pairs with it, but Google Maps refuses to recognize it or do anything
with it and just yells at me that it can't find my receiver even
though it's paired with it :(

Step-by-step instructions would be useful.. in this case,
necessary :-/
