The discussion group is a great place to go to get help from your
fellow Calendar enthusiasts and the Google Guide. If you have a
technical question, you can help us help you by keeping these tips in
mind as you post:
1. Search first- Lots of common questions have already been answered in the help discussion group or the help center. You may be able to find what you need without ever waiting for help.
2. Post in the most relevant group- Got a question about
how to change settings in the Google Apps Control Panel? Visit the
Google Apps Help Discussion at
http://groups.google.com/group/apps-discuss. Similarly, questions about
using other Google services may be best answered by the users and
Google Guides in that product's specific Help Group. Of course, if you
have a question about the Google Calendar service or how a Calendar
feature works, sock it to us here!
3. Sum up the issue- The subject line of your post is a
great place to give a quick rundown of the issue. Titling your post
"HELP ME GOOGLE ARRRGHHH!!" might be cathartic, but it won't really
help people understand and answer your question. Instead, try something
like "Email notifications not arriving," or "How do I embed my
calendar."
4. Dish out the details- When it comes to technical issues, the more we know about your issue, the more help we can offer. If possible, include the following information:
- The calendar name
- Any error messages you're receiving
- How another user or the Guide can reproduce an error
- Whether this issue occurs when using another browser or computer
- How long the issue has lasted
5. Stay secure- While everyone loves a detailed question, don't include sensitive information such as passwords in your post, and remember that the Google Guide won't ask you to post this info.
6.
Pay it forward!- Once you have an answer for your
question, we'd love it if you'd stick around to help other folks. While
the Google Guide is here to offer "guide"-ance, your peers appreciate
your help developing this forum and working to improve the service and
educate everyone about Google Calendar!
