GATracker and DebugConfiguration

Hi,

In com.google.analytics.GATracker constructor, the given
debug:DebugConfiguration is not taken into account. Worse, it crashed
when I specified one.

Indeed, the implementation is:
if( !debug )
{
this.debug = new DebugConfiguration();
}

what private doc ?

this unique session id is just here to differentiate users and is
passed as a string to the backend

it may have been an overlook when the code have been ported from
javascript, but in itself it does not break the tracking
I can check from the ga.js later tonight as I don t have the code on

However, I wasn't talking of technique,
In the getUniqueSessionId() private doc, it is specified that it should
return an 32bit number, and I it seems to me that GA expects a 32bit number
- but I may be wrong on this point.

Utils.generate32bitRandom() should return a 32bit number

_getUniqueSessionId() does not need to return a 32bit number

no it will not work because you can not access the *real* SharedObject
path
in two different sandbox

Hi,

humm I'm afraid there is no way to use the same utma in your different
scenarios

- on the web page you could use a small swf file with gaforflah
instead of the ga.js
but it would save the utam in the SharedObject as being "online"
so even if you were to reuse gaforflash in the AIR application

Hi,
Our application is an air module installed from a web page using the
adobe seamless installation.

We are interested in tracking from the time someone lands in the
download page to the time when they do things inside the app (like
purchasing).

The problem is that the utma values used in the browser are different

Hey Tom,

Interesting use case.

Typically you should create 1 tracker instance at the beginning of
your program and use the same instance to track multiple interactions
with content. Simply fixing where you create your tracking object
should help.

turns out that each page view click generates a new GATracker object
in order to communicate with Google Analytics site. However, because
