AGM 30 June 2007 passed the following resolution -
"In the light of the Federation's changed circumstances and restricted
resources, this Meeting instructs the Executive Committee to consult
with members and prepare a report, to be presented to an
Extraordinary Meeting, held before the end of this calendar year, on
the ways in how it can help in strengthening and developing Local
Studies in Ulster in the years ahead."
Where do you think the Federation should concentrate its attention?
Does our new, limited resource base provide more opportunities for
members to become more directly involved, how do we go about deciding
what is possible and desirable, should we try again to get access to
official sources of funds or concentrate on what we can afford to do
ourselves? In what way can individual member societies add value to
the federation by hosting events etc? These and other questions will
be debated by the Executive Committee to take the resolution forward.
What do you think?
