We had a similar problem with our webmail services not working on an
OS9 iMac we found that was being used for open access at the
University. The fix was indeed to use the latest copy of Netscape,
although this will also struggle with net 2.0 fancy interfaces.

I have a copy of the latest Netscape for OS9 users (luckily I'd not
got around to throwing it away ;), I'll try and upload it to this
forum. You will need stuffit expander to uncompress and install
Netscape.

Alternatively, you could use the mobile version of yahoo's website.
This looks like it might work http://uk.m.yahoo.com/p/login

Alternatively, alternatively, you could set up thunderbird or Eudora
to use your POP account at yahoo, unfortunately it looks like yahoo
doesn't support imap yet ;/

I am having trouble finding software old enough that will run, but
here are a couple of leads.
-
Looking for software for Mac OS 9?

Due to the lack of developer interest, build machines, compilers and
testing resources, the last mozilla.org software built for Mac OS 9
was Mozilla 1.2.1, released in December 2002. However, versions of our
software that old are not recommended for security reasons. Therefore,
for Mac OS 9 users, mozilla.org recommends iCab - which is, as far as
we know, the only graphical browser currently maintained for Mac OS
9.  - Mozilla.com

-
Eudora for Mac OS 9? Eudora 6.1 is still available for download for
Mac Classic users. Old Installers - Eudora

http://www.eudora.com/techsupport/kb/2350hq.html

Hope that helps.
