Re: Exmoor to Ultra in 6 weeks?

Tractor Robbie <rob.watk...@gmx.net>

Hey Steve
You gotta go for it!!
The Classic Quarter sounds such a great event, I'm thinking of it as
a journey/adventure not a race although I'll try to do it as quickly
as I can within reason. I've only ever ran 2 marathons, South Devon
(Feb) and then the Exmoor last week. I was speaking to a girl the
night before 'Exmoor' she seemed to be an average half marathon runner
and has entered the Classic Quarter. I think there's gonna be such a
mix of people of all abilities, from racing snakes to weekend joggers/
walkers.

I'll be doing a few longish runs of 20 miles+ between now and then and
a couple of shorter runs with hills every week, but no more than 40
miles a week, plus the odd bike ride. Most importantly, hardly
anything the week before the event, just eat and drink well, before,
during and after.

Good Luck and see you on the start line!!

Rob.
